There's still no place like home!

I was just sitting down to write a quick bit on how good it is to be home, and then I read my last post, saying just that. But now that I'm here and writing, I'm gonna do it anyway. I just hope I'm not violating some kind of unspoken blog rule wherein you can't post the same content in two consecutive blogs. Anyway...

It's so good to be home! Every morning I wake up and watch the sun rise in this glorious, vast Alberta sky, and it makes me happy. Caroline drives me in to the train every morning, and I can't get over the view. Sun-drenched pastures, golden wheat fields, and snow-capped mountains off in the distance. As I tell Caroline every day (yes, she's sick of hearing it): This is truly one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.

I feel so much happier than I did in that other place I've been living for the past year. I half-jokingly told Caroline when we came home that Korea would henceforth be called "The-Place-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named". Anyway, it's so great to be in a place where I can talk to everyone (and I do!) I talk to waitresses, train conductors, store clerks, and random people I meet. Caroline is wondering who this new talkative guy is.

I feel like I could go on and on about how beautiful Alberta is, but I think it will suffice to say that there's no place like home.
