Bertha Lake

I didn't make it to the mountains as much as I would have like to this summer, but I was able to get away for the August long weekend with my new hiking pals (aka brothers-in-law) Craig and Ian. We did an overnight trip to Bertha Lake, a relatively easy hike in Waterton, one of my favorite places on earth.

The trip was great- I caught a couple of nice rainbow trout, and had a great time up at the mountain lake. Craig and Ian were great to hike with, we didn't get eaten by any bears (like the "girls" feared we would), and all in all it was a great time. I'm hoping that this will be the first of many trips in the years to come.
